Lalit Kala Akademi under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organised a seven day Wood Carving Camp at Akademi’s Regional Centre at Nazrul Kalakshetra, Agartala, Tripura. The camp was inaugurated grandly by newly appointed Chairman of LKA Shri V. Nagdas, on the second day of camp, Chairman Shri V. Nagdas, LKA Executive Board Member Shri Suman Majumdar, LKA Visiting Editor, Dr. Shailesh Srivastava and Consultant Member, AKAM, Ministry of Culture Smt. Gauri Basu met significant artists of Agartala. Afterward, they all visited Ram Mandir situated at Gumti Riverside. Artists proposed to organise a traditional art workshop in future near Gumti Riverside in future. Chairman Sir agreed upon this.
