Today, the foundation stone laying of the new Regional Centre Dharward of Lalit Kala Akademi was inaugurated by Shri Pralhad Joshi (Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Govt. of India), Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal (Minister of State, Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, Govt. of India) and other Eminent Dignitaries. Smt. Uma Nanduri (Chairman, LKA), Shri Shrinivas Shastri (Convenor, Regional Centre, Dharward) Shri Ramakrishna Vedala (Secretary, LKA), LKA officers, Senior Artists and Art lovers were also present during the event.
