India hosted the 1st Triennale in the year 1968 and has conducted 11 international art exhibitions so far. Triennale India is an event, which showcases the current trends and happening in contemporary art movement world over. It provides a visual reference point to see and study the current state of art in the world today. Triennale India is a significant international initiative, organized by the Akademi every three years to bring together not just the east and west but creative people and artist of the entire world on one platform for a celebration of the arts. This is a forum for cultural interaction at an international level to help develop an appreciation and love for the arts.
