The Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Kolkata, had the privilege of welcoming Shri Kamlesh Kumar Mishra, Joint Secretary (Akademies), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to the Centre on 04 July 2026. During his visit, he had toured the galleries and artists' studios across all floors of the newly setup building, gaining an overview of the Centre's infrastructure and ongoing activities. He also interacted with the officials and staff of the Centre, appreciating their dedicated efforts towards the promotion of visual arts and cultural initiatives. The visit concluded with a tour of the Centre's old campus, where he was briefed on its legacy and continued significance in the Akademi's journey. We are honoured by his visit and look forward to his continued guidance and support in further strengthening the Akademi's vision.
