The Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Kolkata, successfully organised an Art Exhibition commemorating 150 years of “Vande Mataram”, in collaboration with Sanskar Bharati, Paschim Banga, on 20 August 2026 at Gallery No. 2, Second Floor, Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, Kolkata. The exhibition showcases the artistic expressions and creative interpretations of “Vande Mataram” through artworks by more than 60 artists, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage, patriotic spirit, and diverse visual expressions associated with the iconic national song. The exhibition was graciously inaugurated by Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Hon’ble Minister, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest, in the distinguished presence of Eminent Sculptor Shri Akhil Chandra Das, Guest of Honour; Shri Subhash Bhattacharya, Executive President, Sanskar Bharati, Paschim Banga; Shri Tilak Sengupta, General Secretary, Sanskar Bharati, Paschim Banga; and Regional Secretary I/c, Lalit Kala Akademi, Kolkata. The event brought together eminent artists, art enthusiasts, and art lovers in a vibrant celebration of creativity, dialogue, and artistic excellence. The exhibition will remain open to the public till 27 August 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
