As part of the “Seva Hi Sanskriti” initiative, the Lalit Kala Akademi, North East Regional Centre (NERC), Agartala, organised a Creative Reuse Material Workshop from 21 to 23 September 2026. Studio Working Artists, practicing artists and students actively participated, transforming discarded and reusable materials into creative and aesthetically appealing artworks. The workshop highlighted the importance of recycling, environmental awareness and sustainable artistic practices. The Closing Ceremony, held on 23 September 2026, was graced by eminent sculptor Shri Debabrata Bhattacharjee, who encouraged the participants and emphasised the use of eco-friendly and reusable materials in art. The workshop concluded successfully, promoting creativity, sustainability and the meaningful reuse of discarded materials.
